Six Years, $127 Million Dollars = Trouble

Published by Hugh Miller at 5:37 pm under Basketball, Gilbert Arenas, Wizards

Ugh

Sorry Gilbert, you’re not worth that price tag. I hope you remember these words…

“Sign Antawn first,” he said. “Then I’ll take a pay cut to keep the team intact.”

Take a pay cut?

“Yeah.”

Really?

“Yeah.”

How much?

“Depends on how much he wants.”

“Typical Gilbert,” Jamison said when told of Arenas’ plans. “He wants to make sure we keep everybody together and he’s letting everybody know he’s willing to make a sacrifice to do that.”

7/3/08: Arenas agrees to take $16 million less…better than nothing.

you need to stop worrying about an obsolete sport such as basketball and focus on more important matters…like hockey…haha….what i find is that most pro players are overpaid for mediocre performances…but such is life…

Basketball is not obsolete! I agree about the mediocre performances though. As for hockey, it looks like the Capitals and Penguins will be rivals for years to come with all the young talent both teams have.
